Processing is an open source software and a programming language developed for the digital creation of images, animations, tridimensional models and interaction systems. More than 10000 users, including students, artists, designers, researchers and amateurs, utilise Processing to learn, to create prototypes or for the final development of professional works.
The workshop is going to explore some techniques used within the field of “creative coding” to make algorithms of formal generation. After a brief review of some basic elements of programming (variables, conditions, loops, classes…) we are going to create images as parametric objects, playing with geometric proportions, random elements, signals, noises, colour spaces and dynamic behaviours.
Basic knowledge of Processing or a similar coding environment is required
