The Cerezales Antonino y Cinia Foundation continues the cycle Sonidos de Primavera 25 (Spring Sounds 25) with «Ferrarese» by the renowned musician Nacho Laguna.
The concert will take place on 5 April 2025 at 19:00 in the Parish Church of Castro del Condado.
This event, aimed at all audiences, promises to be a unique experience for lovers of baroque music and historical sonorities.
«Ferrarese» is a programme that explores the musical legacy of Giovanni Pittoni Ferrarese, an enigmatic and talented theorbo player who, despite being very famous in his time, has fallen into oblivion in modern times. Through this concert, Nacho Laguna takes us on a sonic journey through stories and melodies that reveal the rise and fall of Ferrara, as well as the unpublished music of this forgotten composer. A fascinating journey intertwined with history, music and the city of Ferrara, which will transport us to the past of this Italian region.
Nacho Laguna, a theorist and guitarist trained in the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, is a leading performer of early music. He has performed concerts all over the world as a continuo player and, in 2022, he presented his album Ferrarese, his first solo album, which has been awarded 5 Diapasons by the prestigious French magazine Diapason. The concert is aimed at all audiences and the entry is free, although invitation essential. Invitations are available easily and free of charge on the FCAYC website.
