Caminero Trío

The double bass is an almost omnipresent instrument in jazz bands. However, it hardly has a melodic role, it is mostly accompanying. Besides, only few times its rare melodic role is played with the arch. In this concert, we are getting into these less common sides at the hands of Pablo Martín Caminero.

With a classical background and graduated in the Higher Music School of Wien in 1999, Pablo has participated in different projects from a variety of genres, but especially flamenco, jazz and baroque. In Cerezales del Condado he presents a “Recital for jazz double bass” alongside two of the most valued jazz musicians in Spain: Abe Rábade (Galicia) at the piano and Daniel García (Madrid) at drums.

We’ll enjoy a repertoire with great standards in the history of jazz and some original pieces by Caminero.
