The double bass is an almost omnipresent instrument in jazz bands but it rarely has a melodic function, it is fundamentally an instrument of accompaniment. Moreover, its scarce melodic role is rarely performed with the bow, and in this concert we are going to delve a little deeper into these lesser known aspects of the double bass by the hand (or rather hands) of Pablo Martín Caminero.

Classically trained and a graduate of the Vienna School of Music in 1999, Pablo has been involved in projects in numerous musical styles, but above all in flamenco, jazz and baroque. In Cerezales de Condado he presents a concert in the form of a “Recital for jazz double bass” with two of the most sought-after jazz musicians on the national scene: the Galician Abe Rábade on piano and the Madrid-born Daniel García on drums.
We will enjoy a repertoire with great standards of jazz history and some of Caminero's originals.
