Organized by Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia in collaboration with Club ALCON Orientación.
ALCON Sports Club has promoted the sport of orienteering in the province of León (Spain) since 1990 through courses and races of different levels: fun runs, school runs or federation runs. On the competitive level, the club participates in regional and national competitions. Nowadays, it competes in the highest categories for clubs and many of its runners are part of the Spanish Selection.
7 pm – Orienteering games: Labyrinth
Children
Orienteering circuit inside a man-made labyrinth. Easy and fun activity that enables a perfect introduction to the sport. Inside the labyrinth, participants should find the control points marked on their maps as quickly as possible.
9.30 pm – Registration and meeting for the race
Modalities: Beginners / Seniors and federates
Fee: 1 euro
Children under 8 years old must participate with an adult
Single or in pairs race. Simultaneous start. Each team should find all the control points marked on their maps as fast as possible and in order: strategy plays an important role. Participants should use torches or head lamps. Two circuits available: an easy one, in the town, and a senior one that includes some mountain incursions.
