Children’s experimental art and new technologies workshop.
Aimed at boys and girls between 8 and 15 years of age.
Workshop leaders: Pilar Casado and Jose Luis González Macias.
Multidisciplinary creators who have developed a range of artistic projects within the fields of literature, photography, installations and new technologies.
The workshop aims to stimulate an interest in artistic creativity, encouraging to that end the more playful aspects of such creativity. The main idea is that the youngsters express their experiences as observers, and move on to take on a more active and protagonist role. The new technologies are useful to us as tools for devising concepts, creation and artistic production, and they are of course very attractive to children, due to their being so new and “happening”.
We make use of experimentation as a creative process through drawing, photography, video animation, action and sound.
The themes we will be developing are: Identity through Drawing; Painting Light; Action – Interaction, and Animating the Inanimate I and II.
