Mentors during the summer:
Alfredo Calosci. Architect and visual and interaction designer. Volunteer in the “CoderDojo” at MediaLab Prado.
Mónica Montoya. BA in Fine Arts and MA in Specific Didactics for the Classroom, Museums and Natural Spaces. Consultant in the Education Department of FCAYC and co-ordinator of the coding club Coder Dojo Madrid-Aluche.
CoderDojo is a coding club for young people created in Ireland in 2011, aimed at teaching programming to children. Mentors, who come as volunteers, children and teenagers, who come for free, and organisations or institutions, which offer a room for the meetings of the community.
Here we are going to explore technology in a casual and creative environment, promoting open software like: Scratch, HTML, Javascript, Arduino, Processing or Android.
Young participants should attend the meetings with an adult.
If the Dojo is consolidated, we would like to continue during the scholar year. Thus, we look for adults willing to volunteer and young people willing to learn.
