Caire Reed Quintet is a reed quintet formed by musicians from different parts of Spain. It was born in the Netherlands with the motivation to share their experiences and tell a story through music, with the aim of offering a quality artistic proposal.
It is an unusual formation of instruments that brings a new and impressive sonority. The mixture of different reed instruments: clarinet, oboe, bassoon, bass clarinet and saxophone, give a free interpretation of original music for the quintet such as Circusmuziek and Splinter, as well as arrangements of composers such as Albéniz, Franck and Debussy.
Caire’s first impressions are the great variety of timbre, dynamics, flexibility and adaptability. The quintet’s aim is to spread classical music to new audiences, providing a unique performance that takes them on a journey through different musical periods and styles, generating an authentic experience for each listener.
