Pajaro Sunrise is Yuri Méndez, a prolific guy. In recent times, he has produced albums for other artists, translated a book (Perfecting Sound Forever, already in its 2nd edition), created music for important advertising campaigns (Vodafone), musicalized poems by Hovik Keuchkerian and, above all, written and recorded many songs, many of them compiled in his 4 albums.
In a style defined as pop, folk and electronic, Oh My (Lost Songs 2006-2016) is his first album after Kulturkatzenjammer, which was launched on 2013. It was published at the end of May 2016, during the 10th anniversary of the releasing of his first work as Pajaro Sunrise, and this summer is going to be presented in Cerezales.
As the subtitle says, it includes 22 songs that have not been recorded for other albums: some are new, other are not: A Different Scene was written for an animation piece by Unicef and Reel Of The World was a bonus track in his first album’s Japanese edition. There are also some reviews of his songs and some covers of songs by artists who have been important to him: The Penguins, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, The Replacements, Johnny Cash, Bill Withers or The Whitest Boy Alive.
