Programme: “Popular inspiration”
An interesting programme in which the link between its works are the popular topics from each composer’s regions. We will be able to appreciate different ways of popular music immersing into highbrow music. Therefore, we will feel in Turina, a clear Spanish taste; in Usandizaga the use of Basque popular topics in a totally romantic use of language inherited from the Parisian Schola Cantorum; in Rautavaara the typical tone of the Finnish folklore; in Fernández Languasco the various airs of the Argentinian coastal; and in Piazzolla, the renewed milonga and tango which are elevated to its maximum artistic potential.
