How can we take part on a missing space? Through observation of our environment, the tools we use on our day-to-day and the leftovers we generate with their use, this workshop suggests a relfexion about leftover materials and space.
Taking this as the starting point, we will make “not useful” faceted plaster objets, a common material in the spaces we inhabit, to get leftovers of the said process. Both object and “leftover” will serve us to intervene spaces and change their meaning.
Building (with) the leftovers tries to estabish a dialogue with the exhibition “The space between things” by Irma Álvarez-Laviada, identifying the materials that create spaces inside spaces.
