There is a story that in the art of capturing images, the horn of a unicorn was needed. If the magic boxes, now known as camera obscuras, were not pierced by this fine horn, the image was not produced. In this workshop we will be introduced to the world of image making. We will start by constructing camera obscuras and we will make photographs without the need for a camera, such as the well-known photograms and rayograms. To do this, we will experiment in the darkroom with the enlarger and we will develop our compositions on photographic paper. It will be a fun way of getting to know the analogue process of creating an image. Afterwards, we will do exercises with digital cameras where, through play, we will work on notions such as the gaze, the frame, the point of view, the field and the out-of-field.
