8th September: result sharing
This workshop explores the act of making, materials, construction and politics, in the context of Spain, the global economy and the global crisis. Starting in September, it will be developed with architecture students at FCAYC. During the workshop there will be four sessions open to the public.
The workshop focuses on the potentials of an experimental building material derived from its local context (adobe), which combines the biological waste from the agricultural industry and clay, used in traditional construction. The approach focuses on how an extra local material can be the reimagining of a future in the development of local construction services. It poses a dialogue between traditional construction techniques, contemporary architecture, and experts in digital restoration and conservation.
