Since 2008, the Cerezales Antonino y Cinia Foundation has been carrying out different cycles of activities within a line of work called ethno-education. This line tries to listen to the territory and the neighbourhood in which the Foundation is located and propose activities and research to understand it and support those initiatives that promote its conservation.

As part of these cycles of activity and after having started programmes on the sky, fungi, birds and plants, in 2016 and together with Carmen Ortega, a geologist with more than 30 years of experience, we decided to study and raise awareness of the peculiarities of the soil on which we walk. With the design of this geology initiation programme, we aim to contribute to raising awareness of the geological heritage of our region.
