Can you imagine how children and young people used to have fun years ago in Cerezales? Do you know what their games, hobbies, school or at what age they started working were like?
We invite you to discover how the scenario you know has changed from the hand of its main protagonists: your grandparents. Through their stories, we will discover how they studied, at what age they started working, or how the village has changed since they were little.
In this workshop we will work from the documentary genre: cameras, microphones and clapperboard in hand, we will create a short film that reflects, through interviews of the participants with their older relatives, the forms of leisure and ways of relating that there would be among children and young people in the area.
We will start from our everyday environment to create a documentary archive that illustrates the era our grandparents talk about: we will include archive material such as old photographs or scenes from the places where significant actions take place in our audiovisual narration.
This activity links two of the research formats with which the Cerezales Antonino y Cinia Foundation works: documentary creation, which is linked to Luke Fowler's exhibition, Common sense, and the research of archival material derived from the project. Territory Archive.
By making this documentary, which will allow us to tell a story with real material, we will analyse the evolution that changes in society have exerted on the relationships of children and young people over time.
