Created at the Queen Sofía Higher School of Music in 2005, the Puertos del Estado Handel Group receives masterclasses from Heime Müller, a professor in the String Quartet Department of the International Chamber Music Institute of Madrid. All of its members are students at the aforementioned School in their respective instrument departments.

In its various formations, the Handel group has performed in venues such as the Municipal Theatre “Calderón de la Barca” in Granada, the Juan March Foundation in Madrid, the chamber hall of the National Auditorium, and the “Soloists of the 21st Century” Series in Plaza de Oriente. In June 2014, the ensemble received from the hands of HM the Queen the Award for the most outstanding Chamber Group in the Piano Groups speciality.
