With the objective of sharing knowledge, experiences and materials generated since the first edition of the Herbarium series in 2013, the Foundation intends to hold several working sessions between June, September and October, around all existing documentation. All those who have participated in the series in any of its phases, are invited to collaborate in these in which will study examples of artist books, guides, albums and catalogues, and will do some field work to collect, identificate, dry and store different plants. The group, led by the biologist Lorena Lozano, will also collaborate with Antonio Lafuente, Scientific Researcher at the Centre for Human and Social Sciences (CSIC) in the area of Studies of Science.
Program:
9-10th June
4 to 8 pm
Talk and discussion forum: “Documentation: what is it and what is it for?” Examples: artist books, guides, albums, catalogues, etc. Review of the materials made since 2013 with the different working groups.
29-30th September
4 to 8 pm
Field work, basic workshop for collection, identification, drying and storage of plants. Working session on the contents of our future publication.
14th October
4 to 8 pm
Meeting with the group from Roman Villa of Veranes (Gijón) and Antonio Lafuente.
