The arrival of the rains and the rise in temperatures create the necessary conditions for the most intense flowering of the year. For this reason, and without focusing on a specific species, we will open the month of May to experimentation with different floral species that will allow us to discover what differentiates a dyeing plant from others that, despite giving colour, do not have specific qualities applied to dyeing.

Calendar:

18 May: field trip, collection, knowledge sharing.

19 May: colour extraction, dyeing, modifiers and archiving.

Audience:

Adults, aged 16 and over.

This activity is part of the Herbarium 2022 cycle, in which, each month, there will be an outing to collect plants from the environment, to work on the extraction of colour from these specimens on a second day.
