Herbariums are a good way to identify the wild plants in our environment, observe their curious shapes, textures and smells and even know their properties and traditional uses. During these afternoons we will go out to the field to pick up some specimen and dry and preserve them, and we will experiment with different techniques such as cyanotype and stamping, to represent some of our local varieties.
This workshop can be done as a family. Girls and boys can come with an adult to work collaboratively and learn together.
Run by FCAYC’s educator and Estrella Alfaro
