Raising mountains

Through this workshop, we will trace the history of the Earth from its beginnings as a ball of fire to becoming a planet full of life. We will learn how the forces of the Earth have sculpted the most incredible landscapes. Its powerful internal engine has been able to create volcanoes, produce earthquakes, raise mountains and open seas. Ice and water have carved deep and wide valleys, wind has carried sands thousands of kilometres to form deserts or nourish our majestic forests. The tireless force of the sea has carved the most beautiful cliffs and islands, and the rivers on their way to the sea have formed estuaries and beaches. We can now enjoy all of this knowing how long it has taken the Earth to form each of the landscapes we contemplate... The Earth is an artist!
