Limbico is a personal project of the guitarist and composer Iago Marta. An instrumental band that works as a vehicle for the musical ideas and concerns of his creator, trying to bring together the numerous and varied influences to which he has been exposed in his career as a performer.

Starting from a jazz vision of interpretation, the compositions oscillate between compulsory arrangements and freedom for soloists, incorporating various stylistic languages typical of folk, the energy of rock or the free improvisation.

The project was born as a trio in 2019, but it naturally evolved to become a quintet currently made up of Diego Alonso (saxophones), Margarida Mariño (cello), Jose Manuel Díaz (double bass) and Héctor Agulla (drums) and Iago Marta (guitar and effects).

In March 2021, the band went to the Ancestral studios, in Pontecaldelas, to record the six songs that make up their first album, with Isaac Millán as recording technician. The process was recorded in a making-of made by the audiovisual producer Sara Traba, who is also in charge of the general design of the vinyl LP in which the result will be collected. An illustration was commissioned for the album cover by the artist Peri Helio from Vigo (Spain).
