Mycology. Being a fungus. Underground encounters

Past event
23 May 2025 - 24 May 2025
FCAYC

In collaboration with fungi, we are once again embarking on an in-depth exploration of their world, their home and in this case their home, the soil. We know their interaction with the natural environment, but do we know this environment? Through a series of practical and reflective sessions, we will take samples of various soils around the facility. With them we will perform different types of analysis, from sensory to laboratory techniques such as chromatography, allowing us to better understand the texture and composition of the soil.

In subsequent sessions, we will interpret the results obtained, analysing chromatography and soil analyses to identify patterns and areas that may require environmental intervention. This approach will allow us not only to appreciate the complexity of subterranean ecosystems, but also to contribute to environmental restoration and conservation. We invite the community to join us in a learning experience where science, awareness and reflection meet to reveal our habitat.

Mycology. Being a fungus. Underground encounters is a proposal linked to The Third Master, a research project that explores the intersections between Art and Learning. ri
