Can a fungus, its hyphae, spores and mycorrhizae help us to elaborate new ways of living in the blurred boundaries between art, science and education?
Based on a strategy of mycelical thinking and creation, we have been opening up different paths of experimentation to make the invisible visible, thinking about photography in an expanded way and in relation to the ecosystem in which we live.
During several stages, the fungi have advanced underground, going deep into rare materials, they have been cultivated in celluloid company where they have given us photochemical drawings of their digestion/andanzas. Camera-less photography and experimental film allowed for a collaborative creation between participants and fungi.
From its body we have learned to grope in the dark. From its digestive process we find a reinforcement that confirms that expired matter and waste are an opportunity.
On this occasion, we will continue with a field session identifying mycological species in our environment and collecting samples to elaborate an ecological developer with which we will be able to use the mycological species in our environment. techniques of camera-less photography we will create a new piece on 35mm film that we will see projected with an analogue film projector.
