From here from 10 March, at 10:00. It is an activity directed to people who have not previously participated in activities of the mycology cycle, so they will have priority.

 

THEORETICAL SESSIONS

From 17:00 to 19:00

28th April. Introduction to the fungi kingdom with Arsenio Terrón.

An approach to the world of fungi through their biology. We will learn about their basic characteristics, tools for their identification will be provided and their ecosystemic importance will be highlighted.

29 April. Toxicology. Myths and legends with Darío Fernández.

We will demystify some popular beliefs about mushrooms. Through this, we will talk about the different types of poisoning that mushrooms can cause and the good practices necessary to avoid them.

 

FIELD TRIPS

12 May

From 17:00 to 19:00

Departure in the municipality of Vegas del Condado

The meadows of the villages in the north of León will be the object of exploration in this first mycological outing due to the diversity of fungi that can be found there in spring.

 

15 May

From 9:00 to 14:00

Outing to the Boyariza beech forest, Pola de Gordón.

Through this beech forest and the nearby forest masses, made up of different tree species, we will see the biodiversity associated with different forest habitats.
