April 28. Introduction to the fungi kingdom with Arsenio Terrón.

Approach to the world of fungi through its biology. We will learn the basic characteristics, the tools for their identification will be provided and their importance in ecosystems will be explained.

April 29. Toxicology. Myths and legend with Darío Fernández.

We will demystify some popular beliefs about mushrooms. Through this, we will talk about the different poisonings that mushrooms can produce and the good practices necessary to avoid them.

FIELD TRIPS

May 12

From 5 to 7 p.m.

Trip in the municipality of Vegas del Condado

The plains of the towns north of León will be the object of exploration in this first mycological outing due to the fungal diversity that we can find in them in spring.

May 15

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Trip to Hayedo de la Boyariza, Pola de Gordón.

In this beech forest and the nearby forest masses, made up of different tree species, we will check the biodiversity associated with different forest habitats.
