Program:

Wednesday, November 3rd

From 17:00 to 19:00

Theoretical session at FCAYC with Arsenio Terrón

We will delve into the world of fungi, discovering their biology, ecology and essential participation in the proper functioning of nature.

Thursday, November 4th

From 16:30 to 18:30

Field trip to the Pardomino Forest with Darío Fernández

The Pardomino forest is the ideal place for a mycological walk accompanied by the autumn colors in all their splendor. This is thanks to the presence of species such as beech and birch trees. During the walk we will focus on the keys to the identification of the main groups of fungi.

Wednesday, November 10th

From 16:30 to 19:00

Mushroom cultivation at FCAYC with Darío Fernández

Applying the knowledge acquired about the biology of some fungi, we will carry out the traditional cultivation of saprophytic species on trunks, creating a space in the foundation’s vegetable garden.

Thursday, November 11st

From 16:30 to 18:30

Field trip in the Cerezales del Condado environment with Arsenio Terrón

In the immediate surroundings of the Foundation we also enjoy the presence of very interesting habitats for fungi. We will visit riparian areas, melojar and holm oak groves. In them we will learn the necessary conditions for the appearance of different mushrooms and their relationship with the different habitats.
