January 31 and 31 and February 27 and 28 during school hours.

Our collaboration with the educational centres of the area takes us this school year to propose two workshops with Noies al lab collective, with whom we already worked in 2017 and 2018 in the Foundation. The aim of the workshops is to promote scientific and technological vocations of girls and make visible feminine references in science. They are Celia Santos Tapia and Elena Velado Alonso.

Specifically, these workshops will be held at the CEIP de Valles (Boñar) and the CEIP San Tirso (La Vecilla), thanks to the collaboration of the cloister.

Scientific method workshop (2h): In this workshop, we will learn about the scientific method, how we build knowledge from it and reflect on its advantages and limitations. Finally, through a dynamic game, we will understand the concepts of privileges and inequality within the scientific system and reflect on its consequences.

Natural resources and territory management (2h): Thanks to Elinor Ostrom we will learn the concept of biodiversity and reflect on where the resources we use come from and its environmental and social cost.

Finally, we will discuss the problem of the management of common natural resources.
