Open Hacendera _ Lore, rural areas and technologies

13 December, 2014

*Hacendera: A work in which every member of the neighborhood must participate, as it is for a common good.

Research community on open technologies

Community forum can be accessed here: Loomio.org

One of FCAYC’s main investments is focused in the creation of communities of users and critical ways of using technologies. Thus, FCAYC tries to share and do research into solid pedagogies targeted to support types of knowledge associated to the use of open technologies. The purpose is encourage people and groups autonomy and search for obstacles that can be solved in a critical and creative way.

As a result of this approach, FCAYC activates OPEN HACENDERA. It is an open and interactive work-community, in which, through regular meetings, we are going to study and develop different projects using the knowledge of each participant.

The working process is based on an horizontal pedagogy: that means a workplace in which we work as a team and each member shares his/her own knowledge.

FCAYC offers a room in which the team can think about and develop projects, share findings, design gadgets, test open technologies like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D printing… or try systems such as home automation, robotics, coding or electronics.

FCAYC also offers tools and, occasionally, specialists’ support.

Previous knowledge is not required.
