Another year, we meet again in Cerezales del Condado to celebrate the starry sky and strengthen our bond with it.
The audience will embark on a fascinating journey through the secrets of the Cerezales sky on the most anticipated night of the summer, the Perseid night.
This astronomical outreach activity will discover how human curiosity and restlessness have always looked to the heavens for answers.
Throughout the evening and with the naked eye, attendees will learn about the origin of the magical Perseids or daughters of Perseus, they will learn to recognise the constellations of the summer sky with their stars and their whimsical shapes, which lead to ancient stories and tales born from the imagination of ancient peoples who found heroes, monsters and eternal gods in the stars.
During it, participants will be able to get even closer to the sky to contemplate distant stars, resplendent clusters, nebulae laden with mystery, and perhaps some planet suspended in infinite darkness, using a variety of astronomical instruments such as star charts, binoculars, and telescopes.
It will be a unique evening for listening, watching, learning, enjoying, and above all, marvelling.
