Introduction to “Herbarium”by Lorena Lozano (Gijón, Asturias 1975). Graduate in Biological Sciences specialising in Botany from the University of Oviedo and in Environmental Art from the Mackintosh School of Art, Glasgow University.

Presentation of «Herbarium», aimed at those who want to participate in a project based on the creation of a digital herbarium containing scientific and popular knowledge and visualising different ways of representing plants.

The presentation will be followed by a screening of the documentary:

Plants that heal/ Prohibited plants (34` - Spain 2011 - Miquel Figueroa)

Josep Pàmies is a farmer known for his support for the popular legislative initiative against GMOs in Catalonia, and for being a member of the association “La dulce revolución”, where he promotes the knowledge and use of medicinal plants. The documentary tells us more about these healing plants and about certain interests that seek to control them.
