Sacred music at the Cistercian Monastery of Santa María de Gradrefes, organised by the Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia. We are contacting you to inform you about a new activity which this Foundation is organising to mark the beginning of Holy Week. At midday on Sunday the 28th of March 2010, we will be celebrating the traditional Palm Sunday Mass at the Cistercian monastery of Santa María de Gradefes. On this occasion it will be accompanied by sacred music performed by the Heriberto Ampudia choir conducted by Luis G. Viñuela. The program is composed of a set of pieces from the Officium Hebdomadae Sanctae (Services for Holy Week), a masterpiece by the famous Renaissance composer of polyphonic music, Tomás Luis de Victoria.
