David Martín, cello. He was born in León (Spain) in 1995. In 2003 he began his musical studies at the Conservatorio Profesional de León “José Castro Ovejero”. He has also received classes from Ángel García Jermann, Asier Polo, Aldo Mata, María de Macedo, Gary Hoffman, Daniel Grosgurin and Truls Mork. Since the 2013-2014 academic year he has been a student at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, in the Cello Department with Professor Natalia Shakhovskaya, and currently with Professor Ivan Monighetti. He is currently a member of the Haendel Quartet of Puertos del Estado, receiving in June of this year from Her Majesty Queen Sofia the Award for the Most Outstanding Quartet in the chair of Professor Heime Müller.
Enrique Lapaz, piano. He was born in Valencia in 1988. He began his musical studies at the age of 7.
He has participated in different cycles and festivals on the national and international scene, such as the cycle of ‘Jóvenes Intérpretes de Música de Cámara’ at the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid.
He is the winner of the XVII San Sebastian International Piano Competition and the XXII Ricard Viñes International Competition.
Since the 2014-2015 academic year, he has been studying with maestros Dmitri Bashkirov and Denis Lossev at the Queen Sofía School of Music, where last year he was awarded the title of Most Outstanding Student of his Chair by Her Majesty Queen Sofía.
Fernán Arbona, Clarinet, was born in Carcaixent (Spain) in 1997. He began his musical studies at the Escuela Oficial de Música de la Lira Carcaixentina, where he later completed his official studies specialising in clarinet.Since the 2014-2015 academic year, he has been a student at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofia, in the clarinet department, under the tutelage of Professor Michel Arrignon. In the 2015-2016 academic year he was named most outstanding student of the clarinet chair of the ESMRS.
He is currently principal clarinet of the Lira Carcaixentina, principal clarinet of the Netherland Youth Orchestra (NJO), of the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Orchestra, and regularly collaborates with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid as assistant soloist.
