In Acisa de las Arrimadas

Performance of Menhir in and with the quarry in Acisa de las Arrimadas.

This performance is part of the Sequences FCAYC cycle, a series of sound interventions in space, in which FCAYC invites different musicians and sound artists to make site specific compositions that sound in specific places and interact with spatial elements.

Looking at the “Map of Industrial Rocks and Minerals of Castilla y León”, prepared by Instituto Geológico y Minero, we discover how many quarries there are in this territory. In collaboration with Coco Moya and Iván Cebrián from Menhir music, we’ll try to figure out how they sounded and how they might sound.

It is part of their process 13 moons, based on thirteen concerts in dialogue with the lunar calendar.
