Timetable: From 17.30 to 19.00
Aimed at families with children from 3 to 5 years of age
Herbariums are a good way of identifying the wild plants in our environment, observing their curious shapes, textures and smells and even learning about their properties and traditional uses. During these afternoons we will go out into the countryside to collect some specimens that we would like to dry and preserve, and we will experiment with different techniques such as cyanotype and printing to represent some of our local varieties.
This workshop can be done as a family. Children can come together with an adult to work collaboratively and learn together.
Delivered by the Department of Education and Public Programmes of FCAYC with the collaboration of Estrella Alfaro.
