Taught by Clara Boj and Diego Díaz (lalalab.org)

They have combined their solo artistic activity with collaborative projects since 2000. Their work focuses mainly on the observation of public space and the various transformations (architectural, technological, functional, social,...) resulting from the incorporation of new technologies into the space of everyday life, from which they generate installations that combine physical and virtual qualities in an attempt to generate links of continuity between old and new forms of social relations, between old and new spaces of communication.

The streets where we live are full of echoes; past stories of events, real stories or fictions that circulate in the realm of “word of mouth” as temporary traces of the life of places.

In this workshop we will explore the echoes of Cerezales to create a playful filmic experience in which the narration will be linked to the space and each of the sequences will be geographically located in a specific place in the village and its surroundings.

Using mobile phones as a support and adapting the filmic language to the characteristics of this medium, we will generate an audiovisual experience where the story will be constructed depending on the route taken by the users. Small pre-recorded audio and video clips will play and appear on the screens of the mobile phones depending on the location of the users at that moment. Based on the route taken, the narrative structure will be adapted and modified, offering new scenes and situations.

During the course of the workshop we will collect the information that will define our story and we will design the routes along which it takes place, we will record the sequences and we will compose an audiovisual experience linked to the physical space of Cerezales. Anyone with a compatible mobile phone will be able to download the film for free from the project's website to watch it while walking through the streets and paths of the village.
