Music. This concept has been defined through historical processes which eventually determine what our ears understand as acceptable or marginal. Through the body, through the mind and through Nature we will walk across different ways of remembering, creating, understanding, not-understanding and experimenting sound.
The workshop is presented as an introduction to sound art through a theoretical and practical overview of some fundamental aspects of this approach to artistic creation. This experience will be articulated in three modules —which will intertwine themselves since the very beginning—, addressing the following contents: 1.- What is —or what might be— listening?; 2.- Listening through voice; 3.- Listening through instruments.
The workshop is open to participants who are open to experimentation. It is not required, at all, any kind of previous musical or artistic experience. Participants are invited to bring to the workshop all kinds of instruments (or, in a broader sense, sound-producing materials), even if they have no familiarity whatsoever with them.
