THE NOTHING. No television workshop

I would have liked to have been there but I couldn't, nobody could. I didn't want to hear about it on TV either. I just wanted to see that everything was still there. I would have liked to turn on the radio and hear the river running. To see a swift swift cross the screen and for television not to be television, or rather, what comes to mind when we hear that word.

Now that I can go out, I'm going to do it. I'm going to make television where “nothing” hardly ever happens, because if nothing happens, that's it. And if I have to stop calling it television, I will. In this workshop we will look at the river and the cars passing by. We will pick up what is close to us, the everyday and we will turn it into waves.

Delivered by: Ana Cortés and Raúl Alaejos, members of Sawdust.tv, a collective that experiments with physical and audiovisual devices to find new formats in the field of art and communication. They have recently created Serrucho.org,an immersive theatre company. They have been part of the artists“ programme Nuevos Comanditarios. At the Antonino y Cinia Foundation they have already carried out the project ”Hola, estás haciendo una peli" (Hello, you are making a film).
