Threejay was founded at the end of 2011 and soon began to write songs and adapt some jazz “standards” de jazz.
This young formation is remarkable for its freshness, energy, dynamism and interaction. Its most featured elements are, among many others, compositions with unique colours, which evoke landscapes similar to those on soundtracks. The trio adapts the repertoire and oscillates, from acoustic piano to keyboards, depending on the occasion.
Their influences go from Avishai Cohen, Esbjörn Svensson Trio, The Art of the Trio (Mehldau, Rossy, Granadier), The Bad Plus to Rage Against the Machine or Radiohead.
They are presenting their first album, Threejay, which contain their own compositions and featured collaborators like trumpet player David Pastor or guitar player Leo Tejedor. The album has been recognised by critics.
In Cerezales they are going to be accompanied by jazz scene young promess Eva Fernández, saxophonist, clarinettist and singer.
