The art of weaving is one of the oldest known craft activities and, although our region has a great wool tradition, its practice initially requires an approach to tools, materials and techniques with which we are no longer familiar.

In this workshop we propose a textile route, based on play and the enjoyment of learning ‘by doing’, through observation of our environment and practice with natural and recycled materials, for which no previous knowledge of the subject is required. Loom weavers from 6 to 12 years old with the required weaving level ‘zero patatero’, come and build a mini-loom and weave a maxi embroidery with us!

Taught by: Luz Santos Rodero.
In its etymological root, «text» means to weave, interweave, braid, but also to write, compose, construct. In this conjunction between books and warps, Luz investigates models of writing, in which stitch by stitch, wefts with particular forms of knowledge, with other forms of knowledge, are revealed.
