Workshop: Initiation and recognition of minerals, rocks and fossils

Monday to Thursday:

Group A: From 9 to 13 years old, from 10:30 to 12:00

Group B: From 6 to 8 years old, from 12:30 to 14:00

Friday:

Joint cultural trip.

From 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Minors must be accompanied.

We will visit the Alto Bierzo Museum. Geology and Paleontology Room (Bembibre); the “Pozo Julia” Mine; and the Aula de Paleobotánica (Fabero) (BIC. Asset of Cultural Interest)

The world of minerals is magical. Their colours and shapes make them not go unnoticed in our eyes. In these workshops, we will discover the geological wonders that the earth treasures and we will have in our hands fossil remains such as dinosaur teeth, megalodon carcharocles tooth and rocks more than 1,160 million years old.
