Workshop to encourage... Writing

Past event
01 Apr 2014 - 24 Apr 2014
Saint Olaja

This workshop arises in the framework of the collaboration between the Cerezales Foundation and the Lethe Club, which will be reflected in the publication of the Collected Poetry by Luis Miguel Rabanal.

It is part of the didactic programme for the C.R.A. Ribera del Porma in 2014.

Starting from the general assumptions and objectives in the field of reading encouragement, on this occasion we are going to approach the phenomenon of reading/writing with an emphasis on its most creative dimension: how stories and fables are “made”, how they are “written”, how the plot, the setting, the characters, the outcome, etc. are invented.

On this occasion, the children will feel that they are not only readers, but also, or above all, authors. To this end, we will try to motivate and guide them in the creation of a story of their own invention that reflects their ideas and interests, fears, desires, references, concerns...

Given the characteristics of the groups in which the workshop will take place (between 15 and 20 children from 3 to 12 years old), and especially taking into account the diversity of ages and the fact that the youngest children will not be able to read texts, we believe that the development should be eminently practical and playful, active and creative. The creation of the story will not take place on paper but through games and around objects that they can make and manipulate.
