The third edition of the Carea - A fold of local knowledge, breeds and products, a fair dedicated to research and dissemination in the field of indigenous and pastoral breeds and local agri-foodstuffs.
It has been held in our town, Cerezales del Condado, since 2016, and this time the effort to go a step further has been immense. The programme has already been published and contains 4 days of training for the livestock and pastoral sector and for the agri-food sector, as well as a multitude of other activities. recreational and outreach activities for all audiences, The event is open to all those who love animals, local products, the traditions of León and the rural environment.
The lamb stew at popular prices, the «Cecina de León» concert, the local food and drink market and the exhibition of local breeds are some of the main attractions.
In addition, as every year, the work of professionals who have worked with herding dogs over the years will be recognised. This year, the tribute will go to Mª del Pilar González, shepherdess of Barrio de la Tercia.
