In its origins, FCAYC is closely linked to the school of the village of Cerezales del Condado. The school building, closed in the 70s, was constructively adapted for the development of the activity, being property of the Junta Vecinal of the village. Nowadays, after the construction of the new building, they are the current offices. When a village school closes, it heralds a time of silence and an uncertain future. Antonino knew this well, and as the founder and neighbour of the village, he considered reopening the school to combat depopulation. Although the FCAYC project moved towards culture and contemporary art, its links and commitment to education and the schools of the territory were maintained from the beginning. In fact, this programme has collaborated over time with the CRA Ribera del Porma, the CEIP de Valles, the IES Pablo Díez and the CEIP San Tirso. Within the framework of this close relationship, visits and educational projects have been carried out linked to exhibitions whose subject matter questions the students as inhabitants of the territory, artist workshops in schools and projects that cross artistic practices with education. The long-term projects, which are part of the school's educational project and therefore within the school timetable, include projects such as: The documentary creation workshop; El cine de la Almohada; Los Sonidos de la Escuela Rural and Hacendera: Un corro.
This programme also welcomes visits from other schools to FCAYC. These are free visits accompanied by the FCAYC team.
