The wind is already written

The wind is already written

The wind is already written is a project of poetic creation in nature, developed over the course of more than a year, which uses writing and the voice to transmit the author's experience of the world.

To this end, he has delved into aspects already present in his previous work, such as the presence of climatological elements, wind and rain, and others of a physical nature, such as the stars, rivers, the sea, trees and paths. All of them in dialogue with his feelings through solitary journeys in which nature and the poet's sensibility have exchanged messages.

The result is a collection of writings, drawings, photographs, videos and recordings of his voice, sometimes caught in the wind and sometimes fused with the sound of the water passing over the river, which takes the form of a book but is much more: the record of how a modern-day poet has lived the landscape in complete solitude.

Jorge Pascual (León 1981) is a poet and actor with two previously published collections of poems, Dying of wind (Leteo 2001 and Manual de Ultramarinos 2015) and Barefoot clouds walk (Eolas, 2016). He received a runner-up prize in the national poetry award Eugenio de Nora. He has also participated in numerous poetry anthologies, and has collaborated in various cultural magazines, such as Entrelairlines o Tel-Aviv. As an actor, he has performed in improvisation and free-jazz performances and has interpreted Monólife logos, a play by Michael Houellebecq, which he himself adapted. He has also performed in such notable venues as the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Tabakalera in San Sebastián and the Ocupai festival in Portugal.
