June to birds 2019
This year we will delve deeper into our knowledge of the birds that have adapted to living in agricultural landscapes resulting from human activity. Students already initiated in Ornithology (especially former students) will learn how some bird species have managed to adapt to living in a humanised landscape, the agricultural steppe. Southern León is a clear example of this type of landscape, where some of the most unknown species of our avifauna live. Larks, bustards, Lesser kestrels, and many other species that will awaken our interest in an area “at first glance” not very striking for birds, but surprising once you delve into it.
