Over the past few months, the musician has incorporated environmental sounds such as the buzzing of bees from nearby hives or the Porma river, to be mixed live. This Saturday, May 30th, in conjunction with his saxophone and the community of Castro del Condado, he will perform this unique concert in the village square at 7 PM.

Cerezales del Condado, León (28/05/2026). This Saturday the 30th at 7 p.m. in the Plaza de Castro del Condado (León), the Cerezales Antonino y Cinia Foundation presents Sequence XIII. An experimental music concert designed at y with the location where it is situated.
On this occasion, José Venditti, a sound artist and musician based in Madrid, has been invited to collaborate with the residents of Castro del Condado in the town's main square. Through active listening during several stays in the area, he has been recording the sounds present in our environments that often go unnoticed: the grass, the bee, the river… By amplifying these recordings with technology and mixing them, he will create a dialogue during the session between sounds of different origins and natures, which will connect with his saxophone, the artist's primary instrument.
This work continues the work of José Venditti, who pays particular attention to the origin and processing of sound sources and questions the dichotomies that exist between organic/mechanical, analogue/digital, and natural/artificial.
About the Sequences cycle
SECUENCIAS is a series of sound interventions in spaces. FCAYC invites musicians, composers, and artists who work with sound to design and perform a site-specific concert to be heard in and with a particular location in the territory. Understanding that a specific place not only has and is, but also *is*, changes our relationship with the territory and with all the agents that form it. In this way, the readings of a space that are traditionally channelled through delimited disciplines – history, sociology, biology, etc. – expand their boundaries and emerge in a transdisciplinary manner, as the place can be viewed from many perspectives and from all of them simultaneously.
In SECUENCIAS each artist carries out a research process on how to sound in and with a given space. Each intervention is a Sequence and proposes a dialogue between an artist/group of artists and a place. The Sequences are always determined by the previous ones: listening always happens in relation to the previous and present experience of the territory. They bring together people, collectives and non-human agents in a specific time and place: they generate, from a space of the possible, a window through which to listen inwards and outwards.
The Sequences are concerts that do not and could not take place in an auditorium. They are concerts for the territory.
About José Venditti
José Venditti is a composer, sound artist and visual artist based in Madrid with an interest in understanding musical social constructs and challenging them. In his approach, he pays special attention to the origin and processing of the sound sources he uses, questioning the dichotomies that exist between organic, mechanical, analogue, digital, natural, artificial, real, and fiction.
José plays the saxophone, working with its sound through the deconstruction of classic patterns, exploring new sonic aesthetics for the instrument via digital processing and its hybridization with electronic instruments and synthesizers.
His work is largely conceived from a collective perspective, collaborating on various projects with other artists and creators such as Andrés Jaque, Dionisio Gonzalez, LA Contemporary Dance Company, Olivier Arson, Javi Cruz, Marta Verde, MariPaula Dance Company, the Institute for Postnatural Studies, Oscar Vincentellini…
She co-directs the Coro studio.
