Throughout its long career, Juventudes Musicales in Spain has always tried to promote the personal and social development of young people as well as their improvement in the field of musical culture. Since 1952 it has sought a single clear objective: to recognize young people as new values in our country and to stimulate the beginnings of their respective professional careers.
“Musical Youth” is, according to UNESCO, “the most important youth cultural movement in the world”; is an international multicultural network that offers multiple activities around the world, with the following objectives:
Develop musical appreciation among youth; promote participation among young people, performance in the field of culture, living art, artistic creation, animation, and awaken them to the art of expression; contribute to training of young artists in various musical genres – classical, contemporary, traditional, jazz, rock, etc; ensure cooperation between national movements; assemble international documentation on activities of member groups; spread the idea of [youth] and [music] throughout the world; create new groups in countries where they do not yet exist.
