Sky Bird Puppet Group
Sky Bird Puppet Group was created by Yeung Ching-yee in 1979. Its current manager and main puppeteer is Cheung Chun-fai, who started his long artistic career in 1997. The company develops its work around the four main animation techniques of traditional Chinese puppets: threads, glove, rod and shadows. With the aim of preserving and developing the art of puppetry, Sky Bird Puppet Group not only creates traditional puppet shows with the specific characteristics of Hong Kong (puppets with threads of about 2 and a half meters), it also trains local artists and participates in school campaigns.
