Sumrrá is one of the most solid and most constant bands in the Spanish Jazz Scene, and it is internationally acclaimed as tours in Bolivia, Bulgaria or South Africa certify. The band has also participated in many festivals such as San Juan Evangelista Festival (Madrid), Johannesburg Joy of Jazz (South Africa), ImaxinaSons Jazz Festival (Vigo), Jazz Series 1906 (Ourense), La Paz Jazz Festival (Bolivia), Santa Cruz Jazz Festival (Bolivia), Alcudia Jazz Festival (Mallorca), Jazz Plus Festival (Sofia)…
The band begun in 2000 and it has hundreds of concerts and 4 albums, two of which were recorded live.
Ever since their beginning, Sumrrá’s members have been acclaimed by critic and public thanks to an unclassifiable, melodic and very open jazz, with an special interest in innovation in their compositions, a great quality in their performance and really fresh lives. Sumrrá does not understand trends or styles. After 13 years (which is a long time in Jazz terms) of this happy reunion, the trio keeps updating and feeding from the side projects of its members.
