A cau d'Orella

«A cau d'Orella” is made up of a group of women with extensive musical training, both vocal and instrumental.

The formation of this choir arose as a result of the proposal of Mònica Perales, its director.

The choir was presented to the public in March 2006 at the Capella de la Sapiencia of the University of Valencia, with a monographic programme by the Catalan composer Josep Vila i Casañas.

In June 2008, they present a programme of German romantic music by the composers Brahms and Schubert, the majority of the works being lieds based on poems by German authors of the same period. In June 2009, they held a concert with harp by different composers.

In April 2010, the Cor de dones was invited to participate in the Encuentro Coral Internacional Ciudad de Torrevieja.

In June 2010, they present a programme with baroque cello and harpsichord music from the 16th century by male and female composers of convent music.
In March 2011, they toured Zaragoza and Hondarribia, and in October of the same year, Vitoria and Santander.
In July 2012, they inaugurated the Altafulla International Music Festival.
In March 2013, on the occasion of working women's week, they performed concerts in Godella and Vila-real.

In April 2013, they were invited to the XXXI Ciclo de Música Coral de Logroño.

They have performed different premieres by Valencian composers.
