Composer and sound artist of classical origin and varied influences, with works framed near the turning point between concert situations and other disciplines such as installation, performance or video art.
He began his musical studies in Madrid and Salamanca, then moved to Germany, where he studied composition and electroacoustic music with Mathias Spahlinger, Messias Maiguashca and Peter Ablinger.
His work is, above all, a search for and deconstruction of the boundary between the aesthetic and the socio-political, as well as between the different traditional perceptual spheres (sound, image, word or everyday perception).
His work has been presented in different places all over the world, as well as recognised through various awards and grants: Darmstadt International Festival, Humboldt Foundation, DAAD/Fundación La Caixa, Ministry of Culture, Goethe Institute, Comunidad de Madrid, SWR Stuttgart, Academia Europea, Residencia de Estudiantes, Casa Velázquez or Matadero de Madrid.
Alongside his activity as a composer, he maintains an intense work as a thinker and disseminator, regularly publishing articles in various media and giving courses and lectures on composition, aesthetics, analysis and new media in various institutions. He is currently co-director of the Master in Composition with New Media at the CSKG (Madrid) and professor of Composition at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón.
In the field of performing arts, he has collaborated with directors Christian Weiss (Kunstmühle Braunschweig, LOT Theater Braunschweig, Bitef Theatre Belgrade), Luise Krüger, Alex Serrano (Teatros del Canal, Madrid) and choreographer Frederik Opoku-Addaie (London Royal Opera House, Edinburgh International Festival, Hereford Theatre Hall).
