FEE (Publishers' Fair with E) is a project born out of a passion for literature and which, beyond a few days full of presentations and stands, aims to be a living synergy in which different cultural agents participate and collaborate with two common objectives: firstly, to offer a space for emerging publishers and authors and, secondly, to fill the city with activities related to literature in which the public is also the protagonist to encourage reading and the love of books.
The first edition of FEE took place in April 2021. Organised with the sponsorship of the Department of Cultural Action and Promotion and the University of León, it brought together 10 leading publishers and authors such as Miqui Otero. During its second edition in April 2022, a sponsorship programme for a truly emerging publishing house was created, the winner of the Ojo Crítico de Narrativa 2021 Prize, Laura Fernández, attended, and the festival continued its commitment to the creation of its own productions commissioned to local artists. Workshops aimed at teenage audiences were also held. In the last edition, the cycle "Vérbena de libros" (a week with activities aimed at promoting reading and differentiated by age range) was also started.
